So it's the first Easter for my daughter which gives me the perfect excuse to dress her up in an adorable outfit. Aeropostale’s Teens for Jeans campaign was a huge success this year. They received 789 pairs of gently used jeans (and still counting), surpassing their goal of 500 pairs. Aeropostale and dosomething.org partnered to raise over 200,000 pairs of jeans for homeless teens in Haiti. The campaign took place during January 19 and lasted until February 14 at Aeropostale stores across the nation. Harry and David is hosting the SUPPORT OUR TROOPS Moose Munch Bar Drive again this year! Last fall, Harry and David customers generously purchased and donated hundreds of treats for our troops overseas. Hundreds of thank you letters from soldiers were received- Moose Munch Bars were their absolute favorite treat.  Soldiers would let the bars melt, open the package down the middle, and eat the Moose Munch out of the tray with a spoon.

Silver Sands is hosting a really cool event this weekend to help local students raise money. High school students from Fort Walton Beach High School's band and Color guard and some Niceville High School chorus students will be at ten different stores this Saturday, August 8, modeling back-to-school fashions. You can come out and help them raise money and register to win a $500 Silver Sands shopping spree.

Here's the deal: pick up a report card at any of the participating stores or Shopper Services. Have a model from each store stamp your report card. Vote for your favorite school and student and return your report card to Shopper Services. Silver Sands is giving each participating student a donation but the school with the most votes will receive an additional $500 donation. Also, the student with the most votes will receive an additional $100 donation for their organization. All valid report cards will be entered to win a $500 shopping spree from Silver Sands. The restaurant is under new management now and Kyle and his team are terrific! My favorites are still there including the mouth-watering Tuscan Tomato Soup and their great "Create Your Own" combos. A great new twist to the menu is that they now offer flatbread pizzas, including Kickin BBQ Chicken, Zorba the Greek and Rustic Italian. Coupled with the outdoor tables and umbrellas, this is the place to go for a refreshing shopping - or work - break. See you there!
